P.E.D – Education and Diversity Program
The Education and Diversity Program operates directly in education with an emphasis on DIVERSITY and INCLUSION. Through activities, teachers and students are empowered and invited to reflect on the reality in which they live, problems faced and possible solutions for a more EQUAL society.
BASED ON THE 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES WITH EMPHASIS ON THE SDGS:
SDG 04 (Quality Education);
SDG 05 (Gender Equality);
SDG 10 (Inequality Reduction);
SDG 15 (Earth Life);
SDG 17 (Partnerships and Means of Implementation).
The project’s objective is to contribute to the formation of conscious citizens, capable of facing the challenges of the socio-environmental reality, with inclusion, diversity, women’s empowerment and actions to reduce inequalities.
Focus on sustainability, promoting environmental awareness, behavior and empowerment through knowledge about the theme.
During the stage of the Fair of Ideas, the projects that best meet the Sustainable Development Goals worked during the P.E.D and also those that best fit as a “sustainable business” for the community will compete for an award. All members of the group selected as the “winning project” will receive a tablet as a reward and the group’s guiding professor will win a trip to some cultural location. (Last year the trip went to Inhotim – BH).
